The weekend-long lane restrictions on State Route 347 are scheduled to end early Monday, but drivers are not getting a full week off from construction.
The Arizona Department of Transportation has posted another round of nighttime restrictions for Monday, Sept. 28, through Friday morning, Oct. 2. The work shifts by direction and location during the week, so the useful question is not simply whether construction is happening. It is where the narrowed segment will be on the night you travel.
Monday through Wednesday: materials testing
On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights, ADOT plans to restrict northbound SR 347 from Casa Blanca Road to Riggs Road. The restriction is scheduled from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. each night.
Southbound traffic is scheduled to be restricted over the same general section, from Riggs Road to Casa Blanca Road, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
ADOT identifies materials testing as the reason for these restrictions. That makes this a nighttime traffic-control operation rather than a new full closure, but drivers should still expect slower travel through the work zone.

Thursday night: paving shifts toward Mammoth Way
The work area changes Thursday night into Friday morning.
Northbound SR 347 is scheduled to be restricted from Casa Blanca Road to Mammoth Way from 8 p.m. Thursday to 4 a.m. Friday. Southbound SR 347 is scheduled to be restricted from Mammoth Way to Casa Blanca Road from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
ADOT lists paving as the planned work for those two restrictions.
SR 347 schedule at a glance

What Maricopa drivers should do
Drivers traveling between Maricopa and the Phoenix area after 8 p.m. should allow extra time. ADOT advises motorists to slow down, use caution through the work zone and merge safely.
The agency also warns that construction schedules can change because of weather or other unforeseen conditions. Before leaving, check AZ511 for current restrictions and incidents. OurMaricopa's live traffic page can help with the rest of the route, while the SR 347 corridor page collects commuter resources in one place.
This schedule follows the one-lane restrictions that began Friday night, Sept. 25. ADOT's project alert says that weekend operation should end at 4 a.m. Monday for northbound traffic and 5 a.m. for southbound traffic. Readers who need the earlier plan can see OurMaricopa's Sept. 25–28 SR 347 guide.
More weekend work is listed, but details are not final
ADOT's project look-ahead also lists work for the weekends of Oct. 3 and Oct. 10. The agency has not yet posted the final lane locations and hours for those weekends on the traffic-alert page.
That distinction matters: the upcoming work is on the calendar, but the precise traffic plan remains unconfirmed. We will update the schedule when ADOT publishes the details.
