The City of Maricopa is included in a flood watch through 11 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, as the National Weather Service warns of possible flash flooding from heavy rain. A watch means prepare for the possibility
A flood watch means conditions could produce flooding. It does not establish that a particular Maricopa street is flooded or that flooding will happen everywhere. A flood warning is issued when flooding is happening or expected soon. Today's bulletin identifies normally dry washes and low-lying or flood-prone places among the areas where runoff could become a problem. Keep floodwater out of your route
