Updated Oct. 13, 2026: This guide has been narrowed to the restrictions still ahead. Work listed for earlier dates has already passed.
Drivers using State Route 347 should plan for continued overnight lane restrictions through Friday, Oct. 16, as crews work on the Arizona Department of Transportation’s improvement project between the Maricopa city limits and Interstate 10.
The remaining schedule includes a recurring northbound restriction and one additional southbound restriction Wednesday night. Drivers should check AZ511 before leaving because construction schedules can change.

Northbound restriction continues nightly
Northbound SR 347 is scheduled to be reduced to one lane from the Maricopa city limits to Casa Blanca Road nightly from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. through Friday morning, Oct. 16.
Expect slower traffic approaching the work zone, especially during the evening commute. Allow extra time, merge early when directed and follow posted speeds.
Wednesday night adds a southbound restriction
Southbound SR 347 is scheduled to be reduced to one lane from Casa Blanca Road to the Maricopa city limits from 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, to 5 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 15.
That restriction overlaps with the nightly northbound work, so drivers traveling either direction should expect reduced capacity during part of the overnight window.
Another weekend update is expected
ADOT says additional weekend work is expected to begin Friday, Oct. 16. The agency had not posted the detailed lane schedule for that work when this article was updated Oct. 13.
OurMaricopa will treat that as a separate update once ADOT publishes the exact times, directions and affected segment.
Before leaving Maricopa
Check AZ511 for current restrictions and incidents.
Allow extra time for the evening and early-morning commute.
Use caution around workers, equipment and changing lane patterns.
Do not rely on an earlier screenshot of the schedule; construction plans can change.
