Maricopa Stagecoach Days 2026: Dates and Event Schedule

Plan Maricopa Stagecoach Days from Oct. 15–28 with dates, venues, Party at Pacana hours, registration details and a warning about conflicting official labels.

In this guide

Maricopa's Stagecoach Days celebration will stretch from Oct. 15 through Oct. 28, with events at the library, Pacana Park, the Maricopa Community Center, the Maricopa Museum and Ak-Chin Circle Entertainment Center.

The City's Stagecoach Days site lists a photo contest, local-art reception, two outdoor movies, a youth fishing derby, multigenerational game night, museum morning, three-day Party at Pacana, Neon Cowboy Color Run, Salsa Fest and the Pacana Park Pumpkin Walk.

Party at Pacana lists free admission and parking, while costs and registration vary elsewhere in the lineup. Carnival rides require separate purchases, and the color run requires registration. Details are still being added, so families should recheck the individual event page before leaving or paying for an upgrade.

The verified 2026 Stagecoach Days schedule

Thursday, Oct. 15: Shutter Shots and local art

The 24-hour Shutter Shots photo contest runs from midnight through 11:59 p.m. Photographers are invited to document a day in Maricopa. The contest page says participation is free and is open to different ages and skill levels, with Amateur, Professional and Youth categories. The page also links an application packet. Because its submission wording contains an older weekday reference, photographers should use the current packet for the final deadline and rules.

The Art Reception runs from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Maricopa Library & Cultural Center, 18160 N. Maya Angelou Drive. The City describes it as a showcase of local artists organized with the Cultural Affairs and Arts Advisory Committee.

Saturday, Oct. 17: fishing and two movies

The Family Fishing Derby is scheduled from 8 to 11 a.m. at Pacana Park, 19000 N. Porter Road. The main 2026 schedule confirms the morning event, but an older detail page still displays prior-year times and sponsor information. Families should follow the current registration link and verify the 2026 fee, age groups, license rules and check-in time before attending.

Later that day, Movies on the Lawn moves to Ak-Chin Circle Entertainment Center. The schedule lists GOAT at 4 p.m. and The Sheep Detective at 7 p.m.

Tuesday, Oct. 20: Multigenerational Game Night

The Maricopa Community Center, 41614 W. Smith-Enke Road, will host board games, card games, video games and group activities. The current City event page lists the program from 6 to 8 p.m. and says registration is opening soon.

Wednesday, Oct. 21: Coffee on the Porch

The Maricopa Museum will offer free coffee and doughnuts from 9 to 11 a.m. The listing also invites visitors to hear local stories, tour the Zephyr railcar and walk the museum timeline. The museum is at 44200 W. Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway and is included in OurMaricopa's community-services directory.

Friday, Oct. 23 through Sunday, Oct. 25: Party at Pacana

The main Stagecoach schedule and the City's current event calendar agree on these hours:

  • Friday, Oct. 23: 4–10 p.m.

  • Saturday, Oct. 24: noon–10 p.m.

  • Sunday, Oct. 25: noon–7 p.m.

Admission and parking are free. The weekend includes carnival rides, food trucks, vendors, live music and family activities. Carnival rides require tickets or a wristband.

Friday's featured event is the Neon Cowboy Color Run at 7 p.m. The City describes it as a free, family-friendly one-mile run with color stops, music and a finish-line party. Registration is required; optional upgrades are expected to be available.

Saturday includes the return of Salsa Fest, a vendor village and the Little Pepper's Kids Zone. The event site says the kids' area is planned to include animal encounters and 4-H barnyard games, with activities available first come, first served and subject to change.

Sunday closes with a family picnic, contests, sack races and food trucks.

On-site parking at Pacana Park is first come, first served. The event site says free shuttles will run during the weekend, including an ADA shuttle from City Hall. Final stops and hours should be checked again closer to the event.

Wednesday, Oct. 28: Pacana Park Pumpkin Walk

The Pumpkin Walk is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. at Pacana Park. The City lists trick-or-treating, food trucks, activities and the annual pumpkin-carving contest.

A date problem on the official site

Residents planning Party at Pacana should be aware that one official detail page still contains inconsistent labels. Its heading and the City's current calendar identify the 2026 weekend as Oct. 23–25, but lower sections show shifted dates that match an older Friday-through-Sunday pattern.

For this guide, OurMaricopa used the dates that agree across the main 2026 Stagecoach schedule and the current City calendar: Oct. 23, 24 and 25. That is also the correct Friday-through-Sunday sequence on the 2026 calendar.

The discrepancy is a reason to recheck the page before buying carnival products or committing to a particular shuttle time. It is not a reason to assume the event is canceled.

Before you go

Use OurMaricopa's community calendar to keep the dates with other local plans. Check Maricopa weather before outdoor events, especially the fishing derby, movies, color run and Pumpkin Walk. For food options beyond the festival grounds, browse the Maricopa restaurant directory or the live food-truck map.

The lineup is large enough that most families will not attend everything. The simplest plan is to choose one early event, decide whether Party at Pacana is a one-day or full-weekend visit, and reserve Oct. 28 if the Pumpkin Walk is the priority.
