Two indoor City events give Maricopa residents an easy midweek plan: an afternoon built around board games and friendly competition, followed two days later by a pair of movie showings at the library.

Wednesday: Multigenerational Game Day
Seniors at the Maricopa Community Center are inviting youth and families to join them for Multigenerational Game Day on Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 2 to 4 p.m.
The event will be held at the Maricopa Community Center, 41614 W. Smith-Enke Road, Suite 100. The City event page lists the cost as free and provides a registration link. It does not show the number of spaces remaining, so registration availability should be checked on the live page rather than assumed.

Friday: two Dolly Day movie showings
On Friday, Sept. 25, the Maricopa Library and Cultural Center will show the movie 9 to 5 twice as part of Dolly Day. The first showing runs 10 a.m. to noon and the second 2 to 4 p.m.
Both are at the Maricopa Library and Cultural Center, 18160 N. Maya Angelou Drive. The City's Dolly Day listing says attendees may bring their own pillows, blankets and snacks.
