The Friends organize semiannual spring and fall book sales along with smaller sales throughout the year. The group also maintains the Anderson Family Book Nook inside the library, giving residents another place to find low-cost books during regular library hours.

Residents can also support the Friends by donating gently used books and other accepted media at the library front desk during regular hours. The City of Maricopa lists books, CDs, DVDs, Blu-rays, and video games among accepted donations. Newspapers, magazines, textbooks, and outdated nonfiction are not accepted.
